Proverbs 17:28 “Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.”
When in a deep conversation, be careful about your responses as they may not come out right depending on your tone. Always make sure your tone and the way you say something is on point as you not coming off arrogant or with an attitude.
As the other person or persons are speaking, formulate in your mind your response so that when you decide to speak your communicate is the way you want it to be. Don’t ever let anyone take you out of your zone. Effective communication is the key to all things so therefore we should be mindful of what we say in all situations before we speak.
Remember once you say something, you cannot take it back, be mindful of that. The words you may speak will affect the other person one way or another so choose your words and the way you speak those words carefully.
If you think negatively then you will speak negatively, however, if you speak positively, you will speak positively.
Philippians 4:4-8 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
James 3:9-12 “With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.”
