In the book of Ruth, Naomi was a woman that was full when she left her homeland with her husband and two sons. They resided in Moab for years then she lost not only her husband but also her sons. She decided that she would return back to her homeland where she could at least be around people she knew. She returned with her daughter-n-law Ruth. It had been years and they did not expect to see her again.

Naomi had left her homeland because of the famine looking for something better in a neighboring country.
